BACK ENTRY TRANSFORMATION!

Oh hey, old space, new setup… I think I’m obsessed with you!

All the summer supplies at our finger tips & organization for everything we need coming in the back door with three, wet & dirty boys this summer! If you have kids, you know that anything can happen once you send them out that door. Our laundry room is just around the corner from here, but I realized we needed a place with quick access to wipes, sunscreen, towels, bug spray, band-aids, and so much more! The first time I brought them in wet and muddy, I knew I had to make a change! One that would ensure we weren’t dragging all the outside elements and bodily fluids over the carpet, ha!

I also placed some pretty accessories on the top shelves that also serve a purpose. The very top shelf, houses items that we use on our outdoor dining table just outside this door. The other wood bowl, holds our keys and sunglasses! Everything below, is kid accessible.

Below I’ve compiled your entire shopping list and total cost for this project! So easy, and so budget friendly!

SHELVING SUPPLIES:

WOOD SHELVES: Mastercraft® 1 x 12 x 3' Edge Glued Board

QTY: 4 - These come wrapped in plastic and already cut to size! 1x12x36 (They also come in other widths and lengths, making this project easily adaptable to your specific needs to fit your space.)

$6.26/each - TOTAL: $24.44

METAL TRACK: John Sterling Dual-Trak - 78" Black Heavy-Duty Standard

QTY: 2 - These also come in varying lengths - I chose the 78” to leave ample room to adjust shelves as the needs of this area change!

$12.59/each - TOTAL: $25.88

METAL BRACKETS: John Sterling Dual-Trak 11-1/4" Black Shelf Bracket

QTY: 8 - So easy to move and adjust! I chose he simple, sleek design.
$1.88/each - TOTAL: $15.04

BLACK TIP SCREWS: John Sterling Dual-Trak #10 2-1/2" Black Standard and Hang-Trak Screw - 14 Pack

QTY: 1 pack

$2.69/pack - TOTAL: $2.69

WALL ANCHOR: Midwest Fastener® #6 x 1-1/4" E-Z Ancor® Zinc Hollow Wall Anchor

QTY: 3
One side of this shelving unit did not line up with a stud. I used these metal wall anchors on the side without the stud for security. You won’t need a pack of 100, so go to your local hardware store and buy them individually! Much more cost friendly! I went to Ace Hardware.

$.50/piece - TOTAL: $1.50

OTHER ITEMS IN THIS SPACE:

THE MIRROR! Hundreds of questions about this mirror! It’s of course a Target score!

$84.99 - I got it 30% off last year!

THE BASKETS - YUP, another Target keeper.

$12.99/each - QTY 2

METAL ORGANIZER - You guessed it… TARGET. I found this in the kitchen isle. It’s a cabinet organizer, and its perfect for holding our bottles of bug spray, ointments, band-aid container, and all the other little necessities we have going on in his space! So sleek and beautiful, too.

$13.00

AMBER GLASS BOTTLES - You can get this many places, but amazon has a wide selection to meet your needs! I grabbed a few at our local organic grocery store called Pomegranate Market

$15.00

WOOD SHOE RACK - I got ours at Home Goods, but I found and linked to the same exact rack on Amazon!

*Other items on shelves are finds from Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, and TJ MAXX

$19.99

TOTAL: $145.97

So basically, for $250 give or take, you can have everything you see in this final space!

That’s my kind of style. It’s really good to invest in quality pieces around your home, but there are ways to add style and organization on a budget that really lend to transitional spaces, or spaces that you know may evolve over time!

THIS IS SHOREWORTHY.

Hey friends, thanks for coming by! I hope you love this project, and I can’t wait to see what you do with your spaces! Post your photos and tag @shoreworthy and hashtag #heythatsshoreworthy so I can see what you are up to!
